I liked the book! Life is more complicated than fiction and if you saw this as a tear-jerker then you were being manipulated exactly as the author wanted.Joshhttp://joshmarquis.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1961411431611631367.post-59095083317840185862006-11-02T13:21:00.000-08:002006-11-02T13:21:00.000-08:00I did shed tears for the victims! How could anyone be manipulated by facts of in-justice?
Your view is from a prosecuter! My view is from joe-blow public!
The author pointed to many flaws in the justice system. It seems to be a habit with the DA and the police. They use jail house snitch and everyone seems to be intimitated into saying exactly what the prosecutor and his officers wanted. I bet there are a lot of innocent people in jail because of that officeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1961411431611631367.post-88276071638993409932007-05-20T17:32:00.000-07:002007-05-20T17:32:00.000-07:00Amen karalyne. He chatted with him AFTER he finished writing the book but didn't want the truth to get in the way of a good story. He wrote the editors of the WSJ insisting that he had indeed spoken with the prosecutor. he did, just after he wrote the book.Joshhttp://coastda.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1961411431611631367.post-7864842221960370462007-08-17T18:02:00.000-07:002007-08-17T18:02:00.000-07:00I can not agree more with what karalyne said. You (Josh) also keep refering to the dna that proved them innocent, but al the so called evidence (that realy wasn't there in my opinion, just lies and what more...) had to maid sure that they were never convicted in the first place. Isn't it your en Petersons job to get the guilty man in prisson? If I were in your place that was what I wanted, rather then just get a conviction for the newspaper. I'm sorry if my English isn't very well. I'm dutch.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
